This week we learned about Apple’s new patent, the pizza box. A Wired journalist even visited the new campus and confirmed its presence.
The creators of the YouTube channel The Outline also received an “innovation box” from one of the company’s employees.
Unlike a traditional cardboard box, this one is made of hard plastic. Its main feature is eight holes in the upper part of the structure. This is done so that the steam from the hot dish comes out.
Thus, moisture inside the box will not accumulate and the food will not get wet. The material of manufacture was also chosen for a reason – plastic is lighter than metal, and cardboard quickly deteriorates.
Thus, Apple’s box is essentially reusable and can be used to carry food from the cafeteria to your workplace.
