Google has officially unveiled the flagship smartphones Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The company announced them back in August, but is only now sharing all the details, including the price and start date of sales.

The Google Pixel 6 Pro has a 6.7-inch Always-On OLED display with a dynamic refresh rate of 10 to 120 Hz, while the Pixel 6 has a 6.4-inch display with up to 90 Hz. Smartphones are covered with the most durable glass Gorilla Glass Victus.

Under the display is a fingerprint scanner. There is also face unlock.

The proprietary Tensor processor is responsible for performance in both versions of the smartphone, and 12 GB of RAM is installed in the firmware.

Google Tensor consists of a machine learning processing engine, an image signal processor, a security subchip, a context engine, a CPU with two high-performance, two medium and four energy-efficient cores, and 20-core graphics.

This processor is 80% faster in computing than the Pixel 5 and 370% faster graphics performance.

As for the cores, the chip received two Cortex-X1 super-cores at once, operating at a frequency of 2.8 GHz. The middle two cores are at 2.25 GHz, and the four energy efficient ones are at 1.8 GHz. The GPU here is Mali-G78. And the TPU coprocessor is responsible for the possibilities of artificial intelligence.

Google Pixel 6 received two camera modules: 50 MP wide-angle and 12 MP ultra-wide-angle. The Google Pixel 6 Pro has an additional 48 MP telephoto sensor.

The main camera has laser autofocus for better focusing in all lighting conditions, telephoto provides 4x optical and 20x hybrid zoom. Moreover, the latter practically does not lose quality: the neural network draws the missing elements of the image to preserve the details of the original image.

One of the unusual and really cool features of smartphones is the Magic Eraser function. It allows you to remove “extra” objects from frames with one touch.

The Pixel 6 costs just $599, while the Pixel 6 Pro costs $899. There is no power adapter included, only documentation and cable. On sale from today.

Both devices will receive four global Android updates, and Android 12 is available out of the box. Security patches will be released for five years.
