Apple already has a smartphone equipped with a Face ID face scanner. Of course, all analysts logically assumed that the company will also show an updated tablet with similar functionality.

According to insiders, the release of the iPad Pro with Face ID may take place this summer. Apple will show the new product at the WWDC 2018 developer conference.

Analyst Jun Zhan from Rosenblatt Securitites is sure that the company is preparing a tablet without a Home key, made in a frameless style a la iPhone X. At the same time, Apple may well show two models at once: 10.5” and 12.9” versions of the iPad Pro.

The key difference between the tablets will be the matrix used. Apple suppliers are not yet able to provide the company with the required number of displays, so the company will be forced to install an IPS matrix in the iPad Pro with Face ID.

Of the proposed innovations, the new processor is the 8-core A11 Bionic chip. As for the bad news – the expected cost of devices. iPad Pro with Face ID will definitely be more expensive than its predecessor. [MR]
