The range of smartphones costing up to 15,000 rubles is impressive. A huge number of models from different manufacturers makes the buyer think. How to choose the best smartphone in the budget segment that will cope with all everyday tasks, take photos and shoot videos? We have prepared for you a rating of the best phones under 15,000 rubles that you can buy in 2022.
Samsung Galaxy A13
Galaxy A13 is new for 2022 from Samsung. The phone is equipped with an octa-core Exynos 850 processor and a Mali-G52 graphics core. Their performance is not enough to run modern games, but the device copes with other tasks confidently. You can sit in social networks, watch YouTube, chat in instant messengers and perform other daily operations.
The amount of RAM in a smartphone depends on the version – there are options for 3, 4 and 6 GB. Permanent memory can be 32, 64 or 128 GB, there is also a slot for a microSD card.
The phone was equipped with a fairly high-quality display for this segment – this is a 6.6-inch PLS-matrix with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels and a density of 400 ppi. The maximum brightness that can be set manually is 500 nits, and in automatic mode in direct sunlight it can rise to 600 nits.
The smartphone has four sensors: a 50MP main lens, a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The latter is responsible for creating the background blur effect in portrait shots. The selfie camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels.
The detail of the pictures taken on the main camera is of good quality, but only in daylight conditions. At dusk or indoors, the quality of the photo is greatly reduced.
When shooting video, the maximum resolution is 1080p or 720p, and the maximum frame rate is only 30 fps. This limitation is not due to firmware, but to the Exynos 850 chipset. Also, there is no stabilization when shooting video.
Xiaomi Redmi 10C NFC
This smartphone has surpassed its predecessor. It received a larger screen, updated design, Snapdragon 680 chipset and 4 GB of RAM in all versions. The amount of permanent memory is 64 or 128 GB. Also, the phone was equipped with an NFC module for contactless payments and a fairly powerful battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh.
The Snapdragon 680 chip is a good solution for this price segment. Its performance is enough not only to solve everyday tasks such as communication in instant messengers or social networks, but also to run not the most demanding games.
The Redmi 10C has a 6.7-inch IPS display, but its resolution is quite modest – only 1650 x 720 pixels. If you look closely, you can see the pixelation. The aforementioned Galaxy A13 does not have this problem.
The main camera module has a resolution of 50 megapixels. It was supplemented with a 2 MP depth sensor. In conditions of high-quality lighting, good pictures are obtained – detailed, correctly focused, saturated. Night and even evening shots look much worse. Noise is noticeable in the pictures even at low ISO. Night photos look like they were painted with watercolors. But if you remember the price segment to which the Redmi 10C belongs, there is nothing to be surprised about.
Infinix Hot 11
Infinix Hot 11 is another budget smartphone under 15,000 rubles. The manufacturer installed in it an IPS display with a diagonal of 6.82 ″ with a resolution of only 1640 x 720 pixels. But the maximum refresh rate of the screen is 90 Hz.
The device was created on the basis of an 8-core MediaTek Helio G37 processor. The amount of RAM, depending on the version, is 2 or 4 GB. Persistent storage is 64GB or 128GB. The performance of the phone is not enough for modern games, but it is enough for watching YouTube, instant messengers and social networks.
One of the main competitive advantages of this smartphone is a 6000 mAh battery with 18 W fast charging function. But there is also a drawback – the phone has an outdated microUSB power connector.
The resolution of the main camera is 50 megapixels, but by default it shoots at 12.5 megapixels. Visually, the difference between the frames is imperceptible. The pictures are quite faded – there is not enough saturation. Small details like tree branches are also poorly transmitted, but do not forget about the budget cost of the gadget.
Night shots are very noisy and “watercolor” – no better than the aforementioned Redmi 10C. The maximum video quality is 1080p, and the maximum frequency is only 30 fps. The front camera has 8 megapixels. Pictures on it are not very detailed and slightly soapy.
Oppo A55 is a smartphone that replaced the A54. It has become better in all respects, although for some time the phones were sold in parallel. The novelty was equipped with a 6.51 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, a MediaTek Helio G35 processor that is not bad for the budget segment, 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB storage. The power of the smartphone is enough even to run modern games such as PUBG Mobile, but at low and medium settings.
The smartphone has three cameras on the back of the case. The main sensor received a resolution of 50 megapixels, and it is complemented by a 2-megapixel macro lens and a depth sensor (responsible for the bokeh effect in portrait shots). There is no ultra-wide module. On the front side of the smartphone is a selfie camera with a fairly high resolution of 16 megapixels.
The main camera, by the standards of competitors in its segment, shoots with high quality. Detail, saturation, color reproduction at a high level. There is a night mode with increased shutter speed. It adds noise and small artifacts, but by the standards of smartphones up to 15,000 rubles, the result is not bad. The front camera is also at the proper level, the background is blurred quite accurately.
A 5000 mAh battery was installed in the smartphone without support for the fast charging function. From 0 to 100%, the battery is restored in an hour and a half.
The next phone under 15,000 rubles that hit our top is the Realme C25s. It has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The manufacturer installed a 6.5-inch IPS display with good color reproduction and brightness, thanks to which it is convenient to use the phone even on a bright sunny day.
The Mediatek Helio G85 chipset is responsible for the performance of the smartphone, which ensures smooth operation of the interface and allows you to run any application. There is enough power even for games, but not at high settings.
The realme C25s main trump card is a 6000 mAh battery that provides high autonomy. A fast charging function is provided, plus an 18 W power supply is included in the kit.
The main camera with a resolution of 48 megapixels was installed in the phone, which, in good light, produces high-quality detailed pictures. The color rendition is correct, there is no noise. Shooting becomes more difficult in low light conditions. The footage is noisy and soapy. The smartphone also shoots video mediocrely, although unlike many competitors, 60 fps mode is supported.
The resolution of the front camera is 8 megapixels. The module is quite simple, so you can’t count on high-quality selfie frames.
Comparison of state employees
As a conclusion, we created a comparison table with ratings for all the smartphones reviewed. It will help in choosing the right model:
|Model||Galaxy A13||Redmi 10C||Infinix Hot 11||Oppo A55||Realme C25|
The table shows that all phones are very similar, with the exception of some details. For example, if autonomy is in the first place, you need to choose Realme C25s or Infinix Hot 11, and if you want to create better photos, Galaxy A13 is better. In terms of the amount of permanent memory, all smartphones are the same – all have a maximum amount of 128 GB. In terms of RAM, the Galaxy A13 and Oppo A55 are in the lead – they have 6 GB versions. The processors in all gadgets are approximately the same, it is difficult to single out clear favorites among them.
