At IFA 2022, Lenovo introduced a pair of tablets: Tab P11 and Tab P11 Pro 2nd generation, which replaced the 2021 Tab P11 and Tab P11 Pro from 2020 in the manufacturer’s lineup. Here’s what you need to know about them.
Lenovo Tab P11 Pro (2022)
The tablet was equipped with an 11.2-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 2560 × 1536 pixels, a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 360 Hz sensor refresh, as well as support for HDR10 + and Dolby Vision technologies. The sound is also promised good: there are four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos surround sound.
Responsible for performance MediaTek Kompanio 1300T (6-nm processor, similar in capabilities to Dimensity 1200). The manufacturer promises that it is 120% more powerful than the Snapdragon 730G in the previous generation. The 8200 mAh battery provides 14 hours of battery life in video playback mode.
For some reason, Lenovo ships this model with Android 12 instead of Android 12L, which is adapted for large screen devices. Two years of system updates are guaranteed – that is, the tablet must receive Android 14.
Together with the tablet, a compatible Lenovo Precision Pen 3 stylus was introduced with a magnetic mount, fast Bluetooth connection and the ability to take notes on the locked screen. Interestingly, for charging it can be attached both to the side face and to the back cover: charging will still work. They also showed a keyboard case with a full-size touchpad, it is also attached with a magnet.
Lenovo Tab P11 (2022)
Unlike the older model, this version already runs on Android 12L. It received an 11.5-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 2000 × 1200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a MediaTek G99 processor (comparable in capabilities to Snapdragon 662), up to 6 GB of RAM and 4 speakers with Dolby Atmos.
The battery here is already at 7,700 mAh, it will last for 10 hours of watching videos. The declared list of accessories is more modest: last year’s Lenovo Precision Pen 2 stylus, Smart Charging Station 2 and Lenovo Folio Case with built-in stand and stylus holder.
Price and availability
Lenovo Tab P11 2nd generation will go on sale in November for $299 (≈18,150 rubles), Tab P11 Pro will be released in September and will cost $499 (≈30,250 rubles).
It will also be possible to purchase a Pro version with an extended set of a stylus and a cover with a keyboard and trackpad, such a set will cost $599 (≈36,300 rubles). In Europe, pricing is similar, only dollars have been changed to euros. In rubles it comes out about the same.
