According to Bloomberg, the premiere of the new generation of iPhone will take place on September 7. The presentation will be held online. Sales of smartphones are planned to begin on September 16th.
Apple is rumored to show four iPhone 14 models:
- iPhone 14 and 14 Max are base models with 6.1″ and 6.7″ screens and notches.
- iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are flagships with 6.1″ and 6.7″ screens and holes for the selfie camera and Face ID sensors.
Bloomberg sources previously reported that these pairs of devices will differ not only in displays and cameras, but also in processors – only Pro versions can get the new A16 chip.
Along with smartphones on September 7, Apple should introduce Watch Series 8, one of the versions of which will have a reinforced case and features for fans of outdoor activities and extreme sports. True, such a model can cost as much as an iPhone.
Bloomberg also notes that Apple is updating its flagship products at a challenging time for the industry. Smartphone sales have begun to decline as consumers suffer from inflation and a faltering economy. But the company appears to be doing better than the competition: The iPhone sold well last quarter, and Apple has signaled to suppliers that it doesn’t foresee a drop in demand.
