The unfolded thickness of the Mix Fold 2 has been reduced from 7.62mm in the first generation to 5.4mm. Thickness when folded – 11.4 mm, taking into account the camera. To achieve this, Xiaomi spent two years redesigning the hinge. The number of parts in it was reduced to the maximum, making it 35% lighter and 25% thinner. As a result, the weight also decreased: 262 g versus 317 g in the first generation.

At the same time, the battery capacity decreased slightly: from 5,020 mAh to 4,500 mAh. Together with a more energy-efficient processor, autonomy should not suffer: according to Xiaomi, the smartphone will work without recharging all day. 67 W fast charging is supported: with it, 100% of the charge can be replenished in 40 minutes.
