I am glad to share my impressions of the hottest new product of autumn 2021. This was the main secret of the presentation, which no one guessed in advance.
Apple released Napkin for display for 1990 rubles. And this, as they say, amazing.
I managed to use this absolutely new gadget, I hasten to tell you.
Design

Napkin gray. Hairy, with a dense base, and the outside is very, very soft.
On a napkin has an Apple logo. As you know, if there is no Apple logo on the napkin, then it is just a rag. And it’s a shame to use a rag. You do not wipe an expensive gadget with a rag. But wiping with a tissue with the Apple logo is a completely different matter.
The width and height of the napkin when unfolded are the same – 15.5 cm.
Screen wipe test
For 1 year of operation, I used the tissue paper as a test along with a 2020 iMac with a 27-inch display and nanotexture. The napkin has also been tested multiple times on a 2019 16-inch MacBook Pro, iPad screens of all current generations, countless different iPhones, and (by mistake) was applied once to a table.
The pile perfectly glides over the surface of the displays. I estimate tactile sensations somewhere on 4.5 out of 5 points, where 1 point is a roll of disposable kitchen napkins, and 5 points is silk satin.
In the course of numerous tests in absolutely biased conditions, it was possible to establish that a single application is enough to clean lightly soiled surfaces: small spots from water, fine dust and shallow fingerprints. You don’t need to press the screen, just a light touch is enough. If necessary, the movement can be repeated again, and then you will get rid of almost any trace at all, excluding anything completely chemical.
Compatibility
Beware, the Apple Display Cloth is not compatible with iPhone 5s.
Pros and Cons of Apple’s Screen Cleaning Cloth
Pros:

Minuses:

▪ One won’t last long
Conclusion: you can take, but it is better to have several at once. After all, everyone enjoys having something new from Apple, right? Quite inexpensive, compare yourself:

Seriously, this is a really, really good napkin.
I have this napkin from a 2020 iMac with nanotexture (here’s a review), and it really works wonders. With such displays, ordinary microfiber does not help with almost anything, it can only brush off the accumulated room dust.
Its main advantage, as for me, is that it is almost never necessary to wet this cloth, let alone use any special means. Just rub without pressure and that’s it. The pile is a little “viscous” in itself, it fits snugly against the screen.
It is clear that apart from the context, the “new” Apple napkin is not worth the money. But they take it to wipe the iMac for 300+ thousand rubles, the MacBook for 200+ thousand. And she does her job very well.
So jokes are jokes, but the napkin is really good. You can takeI approve.
